The School Resource Officer program is in conjunction with the Ferguson-Florissant and the Hazelwood School Districts.  Officers are assigned to schools through a federal grant, wherein the school district pays a portion of the officer's salary.

There are ten (10) officers assigned to Ferguson-Florissant School District. Four officers are assigned to McCluer and McCluer North Senior High Schools and one is assigned to the Cross Keys Junior High School. There is also one (1) officer assigned to Northwest Middle School in the Hazelwood School District. Their duties include, but are not limited to, safety issues, security matters, administrative duties, and to act as an educational resource for the school districts.
