Robert Lowery, Sr.'s Biography:
Robert G. Lowery, Sr. was first Mayor of the City of Florissant in 2001 and re-elected in 2003 and 2007. The City of Florissant is the 7th largest city in the State of Missouri and the largest city in St. Louis County. Florissant has been acclaimed by the FBI as the "Safest City of its Size West of the Mississippi River".
Robert Lowery is the former Florissant Chief of Police. He was the departments first Detective and formed the departments first Detective Bureau.
Robert Lowery has served as the Commander of the Major Case Squad and handled some of the most serious murder cases in St. Louis history.
Robert Lowery served as the Chairman on the Board of Governors for Law Enforcement, as a Commissioner on the Missouri Council on Criminal Justice and on the Governor's Commission on Crime. He was the President of the Missouri Police Chiefs Association, a member of the Executive Board of the International Association of Chief's of Police and the Chairman of the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission.
Robert Lowery holds a Degree in Administration of Justice and received an honorary degree from Lindenwood University. He is a graduate of the FBI's Investigation's National Academy, DEA School and the Secret Service Academy.
In 2006, Robert Lowery accepted the Business Leader of the Year Award, the Outstanding Local Government Award and recognition from the Crusade Against Crime of America for years of dedicated commitment to Law Enforcement. As a Police Officer, Robert Lowery has received over two hundred awards of excellence.
Robert G. Lowery, Sr. was born and raised in the City of St. Louis has attended parochial schools and is married to Carole. He is a devout Catholic, a devoted husband and the proud father of five children, Robert Jr., Kim, Kathy, Timothy and David. In addition, he is the proud grandfather of eight, Robert III, Kati, Christina, Joey, Bryan, Maxwell, Sam and Brendan.
